... What do Angels look like? What do Angels look like? You can ask me, for I know. I had an Angel come to me A long, long time ago. She welcomed me with open arms, And loved with open heart; And promised that, no matter what, We'd never have to part. Well, Angels keep their promises, For mine is always there-To encourage and to understand, To comfort and to care. ... " Um, Lord, About Your Angels" Don't want no wimpy angel, no sissy in a flimsy gown; don't give me one with fluffy feathers or one who's lying down. Don't want one holding a candle or flitting through the sky, Nor hanging out in the kitchen watching me bake a pie. No, I'd like one with muscles, lean and hard and primed; a real he-man angel who's on duty all the time. Don't mean to be particular ... but a Bible-angel's my kind; a genuine, super-hero angel is the one who comes to mind. I get into more trouble than many folks, you see; and I don't think a fancy angel is the one to rescue me. I'd settle for a Gabriel, or Michael, the warrior strong, but if they're not available, send any brave angel along. I want an old-fashioned angel to guard me every day; no sissy, Lord, that's all I ask ...

... Angels Everywhere! Have you ever seen an angel robed in purest white? They're sent by God to guard you throughout each day and night. Not all of them have halos and very few have wings. In time you'll come to know them, and how your heart will sing. For angels come in colors, and in every shape and size. Perhaps you never noticed them, for they're often in disguise. But once you learn to seek them out, I ... sure you'll recognize That their hearts are filled with love and that they're very wise. And in your quest to know each one, you'll search back through the years To say a silent 'Thank You ' for those who calmed your fears. ... Colors of Blessing Could the angels have special jobs; Like painting leaves of fall? Can ’ t mighty God do anything? He has created all. Perhaps angels spread forth their wings; To paint the swirls of fall. Upon the trees of mountain tops; And on the forests tall. A swish of orange, a splash of gold; A whirl of autumn red. Every creature great and small; I ’ m sure would lift their head. From tree ... tree each color grows; and spreads across the land. A gift from God to be enjoyed; Made by his perfect hand. Each angel flying here and there; Spreading colors of joy. And when leaves flutter to the ground; It makes a rainbow toy. Children jumping, children laughing; In the colorful mounds. Up pops a smiling little face; With all the fun filled sounds. And like a child I too will laugh; I ’ ll jump right ...

... Seeking Angels There is a new awareness, In the modern world we know, That angels really do exist, And sometimes they will show, The power that is theirs to use, Assisting modern man, And many times they intercede, To lend a helping hand. There is one thing that's overlooked, And you should be aware, The angels stand for goodness, But an evil side is there. The spirit world as many know, Is active and alive. You can't believe in angels, And ignore the darker side. Good and evil does exist, The spirit realm they share. You cannot seek the one, Without the other being there. So if you think you're safely guarded, In an angels arms, Remember there are demons there, With their enticing charms. So as you seek the spirit world, Please do not be naive. You have to deal with both of them, If you are to believe. The ...

... Angel And The Star His heart was breaking as he put the lights upon the tree. In his mind he thought," This year, why do it just for me ?" His wife of twenty-seven years had passed away this spring, And as the Christmas carols played he knew he couldn't sing. He was trimming all alone the way they always had, But listening to the music play had only made him sad. He told himself" the kids are coming Christmas to see me ," And that's the only reason he was messing with this tree. He tried to hide his sadness when his children were around, The last thing that he wanted was to bring their spirits down. So with memories in his mind and tears upon his face, The last thing that he had to do was put the star in place. His wife had always loved that star they bought it their first year, He never liked it, he had said ...

... Ten Thousand Angels Cried Stillness filled the Heavens, on crucifixion day. Some say it rained, I don't know if it's true. Well, I can just imagine ten thousand angels cried That would seem like rain to me and you. The angels all stood ready to take Him from the tree They waited for the words from His voice. And when he asked the father why has thou forsaken me. They watched the saviour die of his own choice. I've never seen ten thousand angels cry But I'm sure they did As they stood by And watched the savior die. God turned his head away He couldn't bear the sight It must have looked like rain When ten thousand angels cried. As the sun slipped away The skies turned to grey And when Jesus gave his all That's when the tears began to fall I've never seen ten thousand angels cry But I'm sure they did As they stood by And watched the saviour die. ... The Little Angel {A tribute to Mandi Thrasher Perkins} It was at a town revival, Filled with the Holy Ghost, She must have been an angel, Sent down from the heavenly host. I just sat there and watched her, As she struggled up the aisle. The distance with her tiny steps, Must have seemed a mile. She was an inspiration, And it touched my heart so deep, When I saw her little body, All I could do was weep. She was so small in stature, With little crutches on each side. But her face just seemed to sparkle, With a smile so big and wide. She was going to the altar, To receive a special touch, From the One who had sustained her, And that she loved so much. I could feel the power, That was carrying her along. The grace of a God so loving, Yet powerful, and strong. And as ...

... Ordinary Angels Not all angels are in heaven; not all angels have wings. Some are just ordinary people, who do ordinary things. They carry their cross for Jesus by the way they act and live. And when the need arises, of themselves they will give. Quiet-like and unselfish, for others they pave the way. Though they never will admit it, they often save the day. They stand up for Christian values and are honest and true. They treat others with compassion, with kindness, and love too. Not all angels are in heaven; not all angels have wings. It could be your lost Mother or Father, Or some kin that you've never met. It could be a childhood friend Who has gone beyond the sunset. We are guided each day by someone, Who lives within our heart. They let us know when it's time to stop, Things we should have never let start. ... Friends Are Like Angels Our friends are like angels, Who brighten our days. In all kinds of wonderful, Magical ways. Their thoughtfulness comes, As a gift from above. And we feel we're surrounded, By warm, caring love. Like upside-down rainbows, Their smiles bring the sun. And they fill ho-hum moments, With laughter and fun. Friends are like angels, Without any wings. Blessing our lives, With the most precious things. ... My Angel All my life I've been searching, trying to make my life whole. For something to fulfill me, and to satisfy my soul. I looked at all the wrong things, in all the wrong faces. In all the wrong directions, and in all the wrong places. Then God sent me an Angel who would help change my life. I soon grew to love her so I made her my wife. She led me to a place where the change would begin. Where my heart fills with love and I can cast off my sin, Now I give praise to the Lord for my search is at end. ... Do Angels Know? Standing by my baby's grave, here on Christmas Eve, While other families are rejoicing, I can only grieve. Tomorrow, it will be a year, since she's gone away, My eighteen-month-old daughter passed away on Christmas Day. So while the world rejoices for a Christ Child that was born, Happiness eludes me for it is my time to mourn. I think of other mothers with their babies at their breast, But empty are my arms tonight my baby's laid to rest. I know there must be other mothers, who have felt this pain, And wonder how they kept from going totally insane. I thought about the Virgin's child so many years gone by, The first time that She held Him, She knew He was born to die. She was a special lady so the Christmas story reads, But She had angels sent from God that helped to soothe her needs. I stand alone beside this grave ...

... LITTLETON Tribute (April 21, 1999) Dear Parents, Friends and Loved Ones, Of these precious youth you've lost, I see your broken spirits, I know the terrible cost. Though evil reigned at Columbine, And horror filled the air, I wanted all of you to know, I left Heaven and went there. I summoned Heaven's Angels, Long before the call came in, To share the dreadful warning, Of what would soon begin. The Angels wings were folded, They knew what was to come, I said," I'll lead this mission" And they followed one by one." I will go and get these children, And bring them home with me, So they can live in Heaven, Where it's safe and terror free" I prepared a special schoolhouse, It stands out from all the rest, The Welcome Mat reads," Columbine ," It's reserved for Heaven's best. I was hovering all around them ...

... There's A Party In The Sky One lost sinner won to God. Angels rejoice and sing. Joy and laughter on each face; Pure, perfect celebrating. Grandma's prayers are answered now. She sings with angels today. Together they praise the Ancient of days; For one, that was lost, found the way. There are many in heaven above; Singing so flawlessly. Hands a clapping, shouts proclaiming;" Hallelujah, a sinner is set free" Jesus shining, smiles so joyfully. The angels can't compete. He suffered so for those below; With nails in hands and feet. With awesome beauty, Oh such love; Our joyful Jesus shines. Lost sinners saved, for them He gave; His life for all man kind. Give some joy to Jesus, friend; Let all of heaven ring. Lead a sinner to the Savior; Hear the heavens sing. I'd like to think, that everyday; There's a ...

... Feathered Faith I watched the feather floating down, And was reminded of what I once read, That an angel was somewhere around me, And this feather for me had been shed. A glorious fall afternoon, The sun ablaze in the sky, But as I raked the fallen leaves, Again I was wondering, why? My thoughts were filled with confusion, Though I tried to push them away, So many feelings from the past, Seemed determined, once more, to stay. That's when I saw this feather, And knew You were somewhere near, For You had sent an angel, To remove the lingering fear. And as I took this white feather, And held it gently in my hand, I felt a warmth grow in my heart, And began to again understand. When I lifted my eyes to thank You, An angel was soaring away, And as she flew to Your open arms, I knew peace would ...

Walking to the bus, I was not looking for gate, I heard the car tires screeching, But now it's too late. I'm standing in this room, And I can see the heavenly gate. Oh no! I never prayed. I thought I had time to get it straight. An angel walked towards me, He had a book in his hand. I knew it was the Book of Life. When would this dream end? I told him my name And he began to look. Then he looked at me sadly and said, Your name is not in this book. Angel, this is a dream. No, I can't be dead! He closed the book and turned away, He whispered-You cannot proceed ahead. No. no this can't ...

... Face Of An Angel They have halos that glow As they cast a heavenly light And their eyes often twinkle Like a star in the night They wear wings of silk So sheer like lace They have a look of innocence That lies upon their face They play a sweet melody On a harp made of gold While singing songs of hope God's harmony, to cleanse our soul Sometimes they visit our dreams To comfort our fears They speak in soft whisper As we get lost in our tears Though we may not see them They watch us from the heavens above They live in our hearts Teaching us the true meaning of love So when your in pain And you feel as though your scared And all alone Remember the face of an angel Her love will lead you back home [Written By Melissa K. ... Siberian Husky Puppy Mighty Mike's Doggy Angels When I was just a puppy — not so very long ago, a nice young couple picked me up. They said, “ We love you so ” It happened near to Christmas that I became their pet. I wiggled and I squirmed for joy, but that just made me wet. The lady said, “ Don ’ t worry. I ’ ll teach you what to do ” So life went on; it was so grand. I grew, and grew, and grew. But soon the games were over. They left me all alone. What would I do? I was so bored, and so I chewed the phone. And then I shook “ Dad ’ s ” slippers. Such wondrous fun I had!-Until my folks came in the door. Oh, wowy were they mad! They scolded and they yelled at me; they hit me with the broom. ...

... The Little Angel There was a little angel, On a cloud in heaven above; Who spent the ages peacefully dreaming, Of God's eternal love. She thought of her heavenly palace, With walls of glitter and pearls; She thought of all God's creation, The harmony of the worlds. She thought of all creation, So perfect and divine; She thought of joyful pleasures, And her Father's love so kind. She thought of heavenly music, The strains she loved to hear; She thought of God's son Jesus, Whose love she held so dear. She thought of time eternal, Passing ages in endless stream; In a place of joy and beauty, Beyond man's wildest dreams. And she thought of those still living, Awaiting the joyous day; To be taken into Heaven, And all things earthly pass away. What's this? A trumpet sounds? Has the day of judgement come? ... Dirty Angel Standing here in silence, Just looking at her stone, It ’ s been exactly fourteen months, Since I was left alone. My world revolved around her, And our whole life had been planned, But she was taken from me, And I do not understand. The reason life can go astray, And treat you so unfair, You think the people that you love, Will constantly be there. As I stood before the grave, My eyes began to blur, Then I heard a soft voice say," I know you really miss her" I turned and saw a soiled gardener, With his muddy rake and hoe. He said," it never seems to be, The right time when they go" I dried my eyes not wanting him, To think that I was weak. He smiled, then looked me in the eyes, Then he began to speak. I wanted not to hear him, ...

... An Olde Legend Now, I have heard a legend, And I'll tell it to you, Though it may not be word-for-word, The moral still is true. It says when Eve told Adam That baby's time was due, It filled his heart with panic:" Hey! What's a Daddy do ?" So Adam asked an angel This question in his head; The angel smiled at Adam, And this is what he said:" A Father's job is special, He takes care of his own, He's always there to lend a hand Long after kids are grown." He listens to each little need, There's never one too small; And his strong arms can comfort you, And lift you when you fall." ... Your Terrible Freedom A bold experiment began When God created earth and man; Giving man the power of choice To spurn His Word or head His voice. That day the angels held their breath As man chose sin and self and death. God could have saved this world its woe By building robots that would go In just the paths that He ’ d designed, Obeying, but obeying blind. He could have saved His Son the shame By forcing man His will to claim. But God ’ s bold test was for a cause-To prove, though man may break His laws And nail His Savior to a cross, That God will triumph over loss And bring Himself eternal fame By cleansing man from sin and shame. ... My Dream I dreamed of a fantastic place of beauty; A place of perfect peace to the soul, A place of everlasting joyful life, A place of forever safe and whole. I looked to the sky rubbing my eyes; A singing band of angels flew by. Flapping their wings, in loves whisperings;" Holy, Holy, Holy ", they cried. I looked down at a street of pure gold; Reflecting this beautiful place. So crystal clear, I drew very near; Beholding the smile on my face. In shock I saw a radiant river; Gently flowing from a great thrown. Under its waters, flowers were blooming; Dazzling colors yet to be known. ... My mother lived by these two rules and very seldom faltered, And never strayed from these two rules and many lives were altered. She always told us love was what keeps this world spinning round, And she would love the world until they put her in the ground. She told us of the many friends and family waiting for, The day when angels stand with her before the pearly door. ... my thoughts traveled along to a place in my life where days have long since gone. Beholding an image of what I use to be. As visions were stirred, and God spoke to me He showed me a warrior, a soldier in place, Positioned by Heaven, yet I saw not the face. I watched as the warrior fought enemies. They came from the darkness with destruction for me I saw as the warrior would dry away tears As all of Heaven's angels hovered so near. I saw many wounds on the warriors face. Yet weapons of warfare were firmly in place. I felt my heart weeping, my eyes held so much, as God let me feel the warrior's prayer touched. I thought" how familiar" the words that were prayed. The prayers were like lightening that never would fade. I said to God" Please, the warrior's name". He gave no reply, He choose to refrain. I asked ...

... 'Twas a special Christmas eve, And I was lying in my bed, When I started to remembering, The scriptures my Daddy read. Ah, sitting there on his lap, In the circle of his arm, I felt so sheltered, cozy, and warm! He had lovingly opened, God ’ s Holy book, To St. Luke the second chapter, Where we both took a look! There unfolding before us, Was the blessed Christmas story, About angels singing to the shepherds," To God be the glory ,"" Peace on earth ,"" And to all men goodwill !" Their voices graced the night, Which was peaceful and still! When Daddy read, About Christ ’ s birthplace, I could almost smell the hay, And see Mary and Joseph hover, Over the place where Jesus lay! In my mind ’ s eye, I could see the wisemen, Their precious gifts bring. They had traveled from afar ...

Intrigued I turn page after page and read about a long-lost age; a time before the world began when angels fought and fell and sang. Then the Great Creator made all that exists: the man and maid. Their sin doomed those who were born after; sweat and tears instead of laughter. Evicted from their fruitful home; Satan left loose to rule and roam. People turned away from God-as a result they felt His rod; repenting just to sin again returning every now and then; but though they were twelve faithless clans God loved them 'cause of Abraham. ... First Christmas Day There were no Christmas stockings hung on that first Christmas day, Just a lonely manger and a lowly bed of hay. There was no jovial Santa Claus with toys and gifts galore, But shepherds came from out of fields to worship and adore. There were no Christmas carolers to serenade with song, But hosts of angels gathered 'round to watch the whole night long. My words could not do justice, To this beauty You have shown, With majestic trees standing proudly, As if guarding Your heavenly throne. I could see Your touch in the water, With its rapids rushing along, As it cascaded over the brim, I could hear the angel's song. Seagulls appeared as soaring doves, Spiraling through the sky, And from the delicate mist that rose, Rainbows caught my eye. Looking beyond the great chasm, To the hills that framed this view, Pure white clouds formed a billowing robe, So clearly, that's when I saw You. On every bough, it was to bear The cross ' symbol; everywhere. The Christmas tree was yet unborn. The one they found would be adorned With lights. But first, the task at hand. To find the tree, they'd search the land. Their search was long. It ended north. Deep in the forest, the fir brought forth. He sat in his study, his thoughts running deep, He dozed for a moment, and died in his sleep. He ran to Saint Peter and wearing a grin, Said" I believe in the Savior, so please let me in"" Oh no, not another ," said Peter with a sigh," Satan's sure working, the tolls running high" The preacher looked puzzled, then saw in a flash, The plan of ...

... , That was the only place a sunrise service could be found. So once a year on Easter to a church in town we'd go, My kids would make a fuss, but my sweet mother loved it so. She lived with us, my wife and I, two daughters and a son, And everybody loved ole Na Na; She was so much fun. She had a personality that was controlled by love, She always said she got it from the angels up above. So every Easter morning we would all dress in our best, And go to sunrise service that would start before the rest. Once a year that preacher knew that we would all be there, Because that was the only sunrise service anywhere. He knew my mother loved the sunrise service that was here, And he knew all of us by name and we went once a year. He loved ole Na Na and he knew that she would never miss, ...

... sky and the stars, I felt all my burdens unload. I stopped to say a short prayer, Thanked God for life's little blessings; Felt all His love run through my veins, Thanked Him for all of His lessons. I asked Him to give me more strength, As I start to walk a new trail; Said I'd give Him one hundred percent, Asked if He would help me not fail. The stars all seemed to get brighter, As if angels had heard my plea; Thank You Lord, for Your loving ways, I thank You for caring for me. I promised God I'd do my best, I promised to follow His lead; To help others along the trails, To be right there for those in need. The frigid air began to stir, Warming me right down to my heart; The moon came from behind a cloud, Promising me a bright new start. I said, Lord, I'll not ...

... they finally came to town; There he saw them go from inn-to-inn, and each one turned them down. When they came upon the manger, Mary nodded" Yes" and smiled, Knowing that God had provided this small place to birth the Child. As the donkey watched in reverence, there, within the sparrow's sight; As a light shone 'round about them, the Christ Child was born that night. All the animals were struck with awe as scores of angels came, Giving praise to God on highest, giving glory to His Name. And that tiny stable came alive with joy and peace and love, As the Father poured His blessings out from Heaven up above. Yet today that same old question is repeated year-by-year," Where's the promise of His coming ?" unsaved men ask with a sneer. ... Yes, full of disdain, I would burn my flesh just to feel the pain. I lacked all things good, with you, I will level, I worshipped demons, I loved the devil. When I would dress up in ribbons and sashes Still, my mirror, reflected only ashes. Then one day He found me, so full of myself, To Him I was worth all of Heaven's wealth. He left His home, Yes, He left the angels To hang on a cross, for hours He dangled. Laughed at and scorned, He hung naked in shame, And during that time, on His mind, was my name. I dwelt so long on that horrible vision I knew it was time to make a decision. I knew that it was He who took my place, Would I accept His offering of grace? Indeed, I decided that I would trade Ashes for beauty, my decision was made.~ ...

... America's Worst Nightmare (September 11th 2001) It's written in our hearts, Lord, That day Americans dread; That day when demons came from Hell And filled this Land with dead. It's coming now, I feel it, I hear it in the wind; That day when all America Felt their childhood end. We felt our spirit darken, Felt horrified, alone; Some hearts were turned to You, Lord, Some hearts were turned to stone. With angels watching vigil, Their swords drawn as for war; And Satan's hordes unleashed that day With wrath unseen before. Destruction so unthinkable, Stark terror did abound; With souls Hell-bent or Heaven-sent, Their blood spilt on the ground. It haunts the strongest hearts, Lord, We dread it every year: America's worst nightmare, America's worst fear. And God, though some Americans Still treat You with disdain, Have mercy, Lord, we plead this prayer: It won't repeat ...

... A Glimpse of Heaven The young man was sad, down and out, He didn't know which way to turn; It seemed no matter what he did, Anguish inside his heart would burn. One day God looked down at the man, Saw his heart was breaking in two; He gave him a glimpse of Heaven, Then instructed him what to do. Their meeting seemed to be by chance, But that was all part of God's plan; An angel He sent as a guide, To help a most disheartened man. The man knew not to question Him, God always gave to him, His best; He thanks the Lord every day, For helping place his heart at rest. ... Jesus On The Cross It was early in the springtime when flowers begin to bud, that Jesus was nailed to the cross and there He shed His blood. Jesus could have called the angels to keep him safe and well, but He chose the cross and death and defeated Death and Hell. Jesus suffered though it all that day for sinners like you and me, so that we can someday be with Him far beyond the raging sea. Then He spent three days in the tomb where evil likes to romp and roam, so by Him we are saved from sin and can join Him at our heavenly home. Now let us praise and thank Him with worship from our hearts, for what He did on earth that day so we could have brand-new starts. [by: John H. Hear God's Voice Deep in the silence of the wilderness Was where I'd go to be That I might hear in natures ' stillness God's voice apeak to me His voice echoed through amany tree When the wind caressed their limbs Like angels speaking softly A thousand prayerful hymns Through the brook his voice is singing A strong and joyful song Which spoke of his love so enduring As it winded a way along He spoke through dogs on prairies Also an owl's solemn cries Plus evening played his symphonies In the crickets lullabies These melodies my soul they astirred To depths no words could express Alone in the forrest my heart discovered Sheerful true great happiness.~Meshelle Brown~Copyright 2010 All Rights Reserved [By: Meshelle Brown, Copyright 2010 (mishabrown @localnet.com)-submitted by: Meshelle Brown] Inspirational Poems SkyWriting.Net All Rights Reserved. ...

... with will all seem so trite Where those in wheelchairs will stand up and walk And those without speech in one voice we will talk It's a place with no difference of color or race And of crime like on earth there'll be not a trace There's no reason for hatred for no one is unkind For it's love and goodness is what we will find There'll be no need for money or reasons for greed Once we enter God's Kingdom we'll find all we need Where we'll see Angels walking a stairway of gold To the place of the treasure that Heaven holds For it's here we'll find seated all God's greatest men With our beloved Blessed Mother together again And through God's tender grace and in his Holy Son Together in spirit we will all be made one And as choirs upon choirs in harmony sing We'll be embraced by Christ Jesus Our Savior, and King [Tom Quintana-from 'TPS '] Inspirational Poems SkyWriting.Net All Rights Reserved. ...

... Heavenly Reunion She stands at the gate in all her glory, Waiting for her firstborn son. The angels are bringing him home to heaven; His journey on earth at last is done. She carefully looks at each new arrival, Hoping to see his familiar face. She" feels" his presence as he's ushered forward; They greet each other with an embrace." It's been too long, Son, since I've seen you-With our health failing in the final years; But here in heaven it's just as promised-There's no illness, sorrow, pain or tears"" I have only been here for a moment. Or maybe it just seems that way. It's hard to tell when you live in heaven, Where a thousand years seems like a day"" Let me show you around this beautiful city !" He looks at her and gives a nod." There's lots to do while we wait for the others. ...

... call. Then came the time when she had to stop, Her age had slowed her down, She put a planter on her front porch, And bought plants at a nursery in town. It was with great wonder, That I watched my grandma plant, Amid the bees and butterflies, And the summer birds sweet chant. What great memories she left me, Her love and faithfulness was true, And now she's planting her gardens, In heaven with God's special angel crew.~Eva May Young~2-19-05 It gives me a warm feeling in my heart to write poetry. ... will suffice. A hug, a smile, some encouragement, even some much needed advice. Grief and sorrow tests everyone, be it young or the very old. But when we talk with Jesus, we'll see His love enfold. He works His healing power, in many different ways. but He will always stay near us, as we work through the difficult days. Good friends are like golden sunbeams, shining through the darkest mist. They are God's special angels, who change us into shining optimists. So, praise God for His mercy, praise Him for friends who bestow. Their tender healing love, that sets aching hearts aglow. It gives me a warm feeling in my heart to write poetry. ... chiseled a raindrop, How did you think of a stem, Bearing a lovely satin leaf To hold the tiny gem? How did you know a million drops Would deck the morning's hem? Why did you mate the moonlit night With the honeysuckle vines? How did you know Madeira bloom Distilled ecstatic wines? How did you weave the velvet disk Where tangled perfumes are? ... Golden Opportunity" Make the most of your chances to tell others the Good News. Be wise in all your contacts with them" (Colossians 4: 5, LB) Halloween's acomin '~Witches, elves and gnomes, And those little goblins Each haunt different homes. As those trick-or-treaters Knock upon your door, Give them treats as usual. Then go one step more: As you hand them candy, Fruits and sweets to eat; Pray the angels guard them And safely guide their feet. Make a point to pray for Each child you contact, In each bag of candy Place a Godly tract. In the name of Jesus Bind the evil one, Ask that God watch o'er them Till the evening's done. ... Heaven's Very Special Child A meeting was held far from earth," It's time again for another birth ," Said the angels to the Lord above." This special child will need much love"" Her progress may seem very slow, Accomplishments she may not show. And she'll require extra care, From the folks she'll meet down there"" She may not run or laugh or play, Her thoughts may seem quite far away, In many ways she won't adapt, And she'll be known as handicapped"" So let's be careful where she's sent, We want her life to be content; Please, Lord. Find the parents who, Will do this special job for you"" They will not realize right away, The leading role they are asked to play; But with this child sent from above, Comes stronger faith and richer love"" So they'll know the privilege given, In caring for this gift from heaven; ...

... He Has Risen" He is not here; HE HAS RISEN, as He said" (Matthew 28: 6) The stalwart guards stood watch that day around a dead man's grave. Not mindful that He was the Lord, they stood there, bold and brave, till all at once they fell away without a chance to fight, for Jesus had returned to life, and vanquished sin's dark night. The angel band drew near to praise and glorify their King. They crowded in to worship Him and hallelujahs sing: for they had longed to comfort Him as on the cross He hung, but He bore all the suffering, this Savior, God's own Son. My sin was pardoned on the tree that held this blessed Christ; He took the punishment for me and paid sin's awful price. Only the perfect lamb of God could love a wretch like me enough to die, enough to live, enough to set me free! ...

... Internet Friendships I haven't ever seen you, but I know you're really there; I click you into reality like magic from the air. Your voice is like an Angel, though I really do not hear; your hug as warm as any of loved ones I hold dear. You're always there for comfort, or a simple word of cheer; though you're very far away, I always have you near. You're a very special friend, like none I've ever known; as long as you're in cyberspace I'll never be alone. ... In My Prayers As you make your way through a fog of tears, a landslide of heartache and multiple fears, I'll remember you in my prayers. While God holds you safe in the palm of His hand and sends His angels to help you stand, I'll remember you in my prayers. Each minute you long for peace and rest, courageously fighting this willful test, I'll remember you in my prayers. When a ray of hope pierces the night and your faith is renewed by the heavenly sight, I'll drop to my knees and thank the Lord for the grace of prayer and your spirit restored. ... see, If the sun should rise and find your eyes All filled with tears for me; I wish so much you wouldn't cry The way you did today, While thinking of the many things, We didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, As much as I love you, And each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too; But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand, That an angel came and called my name, And took me by the hand, And said my place was ready, In heaven far above, And that I'd have to leave behind All those I dearly love. But as I turned to walk away, A tear fell from my eye, For all my life, I'd always thought, I didn't want to die. I had so much to live for, So much left yet to do, It seemed almost impossible, That I ...

... Home Sweet Home Lord, please bless our home sweet home, Grant it love and cheer; May the folks You bring to us Feel Your presence here. Cast out thoughts of wrath and hate, Cause all strife to cease; Clear the air of fear and doubt, Fill each room with peace. If we stray from off the path, Lead our steps aright; Walk with us through each new day, Hold us close at night. May Your angels watch o'er us As we go down life's road; Please make Yourself at home, Dear Lord, Abide in our abode. -Connie-" Blessed be your coming and blessed be your going" (Deuteronomy 28: 6) [by: Connie Hinnen Cook (cjcook @mynewroads.com)-from Connie Hinnen Cook] Inspirational Poems SkyWriting.Net All Rights Reserved. ...

... trembling hand, And gives me energy and pep. As I walk through the dark valleys, Stumbling, falling, crying out in pain, He is there beside me, Telling me it's not all in vain. Only those who walk in the shadows, Will ever really understand, How precious life can be, When God holds your trembling hand. The gentle warmth of my Savior's love, Brings a thankful sigh, And the sun begins to shine again, As angels sing praises from on high. It's only in the wilderness of life, That we will ever find our way, To knowing His wonderous glory, Where there's no sorrow or decay. ... My Journey Now I'm with the Angels I'm singing everyday. No more sickness or pain, I'm happy in every way. I've taken my final journey this earth no more to roam, I've gone to be with Jesus. Heaven is my new home. It was very hard to leave you, for I loved you so. But my Lord had bid me to come, It was time for me to go. With Jesus by my side forever I will abide. A new life to explore, on those happy Golden Shores. So weep for me no more, for I'm where I want to be. I've gone to where I longed for. My Lord to be with Thee. So have no fears, And shed few tears. For my life has begun anew, I'll be waiting and Watching for you.~Claudine Ginther~[ by: Claudine Ginter, Copyright 2006-submitted by: Claudine Ginter (craftyclaudine @yahoo.com) ...
